Sending email with lead owner as sender
Go the Email and create the email.
In the email Send Settings, add a default From Name and From Email.
Check "Send from lead owner when sending from automation engine"
Send email from automation
Go to Automation > Visual Workflows
Create a new visual workflow with the following:
Trigger: When a contact fills out the form [enter form name]
Action: Send email [enter email name]
How does it work:
When a contact fills out a form and the contact is assigned to a lead owner, the lead owner will appear as the sender of the email.
If the contact is unassigned, the default From Name and From Email will appear as the sender of the email.
FAQ:
Question: Is it possible to use the lead owner name as From Name but use a generic email for From Email?
Answer: No, because the automation will use both the lead owner name and email as sender, if contact is assigned to a lead owner.
Question: Is possible to send from the lead owner, but replies to the email will be sent to another email address?
Answer: Yes, that is possible by adding the email address in the Reply To Email field.
