Partial Email Sync

Sync emails with only CC in FunnelBud

Your company may be in a situation whereby you want to sync some emails and not others (partial email sync) because of privacy reasons or you have people or salespeople who are emailing your leads stored in FunnelBud, and the people emailing those leads are not dedicated FunnelBud users.

You can sync such emails by having a dedicated email address, then have the people CC that address. Any correspondence cc’d to this address will be added to the lead’s contact record in FunnelBud.

Follow these steps to set up the partial sync

1. Create a sync email address

2. Setup email sync in FunnelBud 

3. The people communicating with the lead must CC the sync email address 

The downside of this approach is that the senders must always remember to CC the dedicated sync email address, if they don’t, the emails will not appear on the lead’s contact record. Another downside is if a person replies with sensitive information and still CC the dedicated email address it will be synced.

What happens when a user who has their Mail sync enabled CC the dedicated sync email address?

Answer: The email will appear twice on the contact record.
